The organizers of the European Economic Congress in Katowice continue well EEC project – Leaders of the Future (EEC – Leaders of Tomorrow), the aim of which is to create and promote active citizenship and to increase the involvement of young people in public life. The project offers students open lectures, the opportunity to participate as a speaker discussion or listener, and cooperation in organizing the event.

During the Katowice event will also include: Economic Cooperation Forum Africa-Central Europe, meeting economic Polish-countries of the Arabian Peninsula, economic meeting of the India-Central Europe and the economic Cooperation Forum and the China-Europe for the first time in the history of the event – meeting economic Polish-Japan. – Opening new markets and cooperation with foreign partners is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs with Polish and Central Europe. The European Economic Congress in Katowice is the only event in this part of the continent, which gives the opportunity to deepen international business relationships with such a wide range of decision-makers from different countries of the world – adds Wojciech Kuśpik,.

In this year’s European Economic Congress is about 100 debates included in several thematic blocks. Opening session will be an attempt to define the most important current problems and challenges of the modern world and the analysis of the geopolitical situation and its impact on the economy. Will be devoted to topics such as common security policy, military, raw materials and energy in Europe, migration and humanitarian crisis, the crisis of the Schengen area, the threat of terrorism, changes in the world market of energy resources, the situation in Eastern Europe.
Among the main issues that among others will address participants of the Katowice event, there are also global expansion of the European economy, new directions of economic activity, regulations, safety and their practical effectiveness in the realities of the global trade in goods, the agreement transpacyficzne and still open negotiations TTIP, New Silk Road, European investment on the African market and other distant markets. There will also be a discussion about the industry, the sources of national income countries, and the situation of re-industrialization of key industries in Europe. A separate debate will be put to international cooperation for sustainable development. During the VIII European Economic Congress in Katowice, there will also be issues related to digitization of the economy and the opportunities, challenges and threats of the digital revolution.
