Although the Directive on the exchange of information on drivers valid for two years, only now the Czechs joined the EU system. Therefore, if someone Czech speed camera took a picture, a chance that the mandate will go to his house, has so far been rather limited. Now, this will change. The Czech Ministry of Transport has started the construction of a special information center, which will take care of setting data drivers from European Union countries and providing them with credentials.
In the Czech Republic, foreigners make up 15% of all traffic violations. But so far, authorities rarely been able to determine the culprit and deliver his mandate. Although the Czech Republic pledged to join the European system in 2004, but for 10 years, successive governments blocked the implementation of this promise. Only the current transport minister Dan Tiok has made this issue a priority. The Czech Republic is one of the last EU countries, which joined the European register of drivers.
