– We have a greater interest in consumer loans. They are increasingly promoted by the banks – says Sławomir Mushroom Credit Information Bureau.

BIK reported that 2014 was a record year in terms of the number and size of consumer loans – Poles took them to the amount of 77.8 zł billion. According to the Bureau in the current year, “the market should go forward,” and you can expect an increase in the stock of about 5 percent. In January 2015 the index BIK analyzed by the demand for consumer loans increased by 1.7 percent. compared with January 2014. – This is good news for the economy, because this will translate global consumption – adds Slawomir Mushroom.

The data also shows that most consumer loans were taken in the north-western Poland, less in the south-eastern part of the country. In the northern and western Poland is not at all the most credit, but also those overdue.

Much worse is the situation on the mortgage market. In the fourth quarter of 2014. was observed decrease in the number of such loans. In January 2015 the benchmark demand for these loans was lower by 4.5 percent. compared to January 2014. According to the BIK during the year to be expected rather fall in sales of these loans.
Bureau data also shows that while in PLN mortgages were taken according to a similar geographical pattern as the consumer – more Northwest, less the Southeast, whereas loans in Swiss francs were taken mainly in large cities.
