Glapiński reciprocated support for Belka’s candidacy for President of the EBRD.

The Monetary Policy Council has called for a six-year term Glapiński in February 2010, President Lech Kaczynski. As a member of the MPC was regarded rather as a “dove” (a supporter of mild interest rate policy), although he did not belong to the extreme representatives of any of the factions. In 2012, in conditions of rising inflation, was a supporter of raising the foot.

“It was a strong signal that the Council will not tolerate excessive inflation. On the other hand, due to the uncertainty of the situation both internationally, external and internal, in my opinion, should return to the position + wait and see +. Without excluding increases. certainly there is no question of rate cuts in the coming months, “- he said then about the MPC’s decision to increase interest.

Then, when inflation fell, was a supporter of reduction. “I think that interest rates should remain unchanged until the end of this year. Taxes are not economic in the sense that they are good at something effect. Ideally, taxes were not there. Taxes result from the operation of the state, that are needed funds for various expenses, “- he said.

In February 2009, along with Ryszard Bugaj, he was an economic adviser to President Lech Kaczynski. This appointment – in just a couple of Bugaj – showed economic views Glapiński. He presented rather as a supporter of the free market, which happens not always współbrzmiało of economic views prevailing in the PiS. Glapiński at the same time he was also always opposed the rapid Polish entering the euro zone.

If it was not Adam Glapiński, recent history of Polish would look very different. In 1991-92 he was minister for economic cooperation with foreign countries in the government of Jan Olszewski. When after a failed mission Waldemar Pawlak was created the summer of 1992 the government of Hanna Suchocka, initially took him to support some of the same groups that supported the study Olszewski (including ZChN and Center Alliance) and the Democratic Union and the Liberal Democratic Congress.

However, the leaders of the UD does not want to agree to the new government Glapiński, as a representative of PC, remained as head MWGzZ. Then the PC leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski withdrew from the talks on the creation of the office Suchocka. Last Name Glapiński appeared also in 2001, when TVP gave a two-part material “drama in three acts” designed to discredit the Kaczynski brothers and their environment. Lech Kaczynski was then becoming more and more popular justice minister, and his brother Jaroslaw created a new group – the Law and Justice.

Pineiro, sought arrest warrant, reported after the broadcast of the program to the prosecutor’s office and after a few years in the first instance was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in prison for swindling money from companies associated with FOZZ. The whole thing also mentioned a report from the liquidation of the WSI in 2007 as a provocation organized by the military services against the Kaczynski brothers and their environment.
