“Super Express” – Adam Glapiński was a candidate for the new governor of the National Bank of Polish. Is it a good choice?

Andrzej Sadowski: – Candidates for president of the Polish National Bank in addition to the merit always had to have political qualifications. Candidate Adam Glapiński perfectly fulfills all the criteria of the candidate. He enjoys the support of the party, because at the beginning of the 90s he co-founded the Center Alliance. From this point of view, this candidate is not in doubt.

– And do you have any objection to Adam Glapiński?

– Absolutely not. Under the current system the ruling can not imagine a more optimal candidates. In such cases, always enter the biblical criterion: by their fruits you shall know him. If the president of the National Bank of Poland will hold the statute of the bank – taking care of the value of money and maintaining the independence of the bank – this is everyone has a chance to be a good head of the National Bank of Poland.

– Adam Glapiński may be dependent on the PiS and not have objections to the ideas of the ruling party on the reform of public finances?

– The Presidents of the NBP are comfortable that how they are elected, they are nieodwoływalni. Even before their political relations were very close, at a time when presidents do not have to be subject to political suggestions. NBP is not so big opportunities as it seems. Even though interest rates can change, have a limited impact on Polish entrepreneurs.
