Over 150 reenactors from all over the country and historical tanks, motorcycles, trucks and guns could be seen during Saturday’s reconstruction walk from the period of the Warsaw Uprising of the Metropolitan Redoubt Polish Security Printing Works (PWPW).

The demonstrations attended by about 150 reenactors from all over the country. They performed both in uniform formation of insurgent and German. Mapped are also some specific person, eg. John Szypowski “Forester” or Jan Mazurkiewicz “Radoslaw.”

– Redoubt PWPW was an important point of resistance insurgent Old Town. Underground PWPW were the inventory sourcing for both residents and soldiers of the Old Town when it comes to food. In the basement she housed a hospital – recalled Karasiński. – Thanks to the heroism of many of the insurgents managed to maintain the facility for nearly a month. Redoubt was so important, that four days after the insurgents pulled out of the rubble PWPW fell Old Town, which also shows how important was the point – he added.

Reconstruction is not everything. Event organizers have prepared a picnic Uprising PWPW the square Armoured Division WP at Fountain Park on the Vistula River.
As part of the events scheduled concerts Joszko Brody Team “Children with Beard”, who performed, among others, the song “Waking Wiaro” and Garwolińskiego Musical Theatre “off the wall”, which will present, among others, the songs “Remember Ziutka” and “Tale 44″.
In the evening on one of the buildings of the complex PWPW Street. Rybaki 35 presented a special light show on the history PWPW technique of three-dimensional mapping. – It will be a story about the life of an insurgent, a participant in the struggle for Redoubt Juliusz Kulesza, closely linked to the history PWPW – announced PAP Iwona cube-Kwiatkowska with the Polish Security Printing Works.
The honorary patronage over the event became president Andrzej Duda.
