Russia: 17 people died in a fire in a warehouse in Moscow – Virtual Poland

• The tragedy occurred on the north-east of the Russian capital
 

 • Rescuers have found 16 bodies; 17 victim died in hospital

At least 17 people were killed on Saturday in a fire that broke out in one of the rooms the magazine printing on the north-east of Moscow – have informed the Russian authorities. According to the media fire victims are citizens of Kyrgyzstan, mostly young women. Investigators determined that the most likely cause of the fire was faulty wiring in a room where there were a lot of flammable materials, including paper, where the fire spread quickly through the elevator shaft.

The flames, which destroyed 200 square meter four-storey building belonging to the printing house, was extinguished after two hours. Then the firemen came across the room cut off by the fire, there were 16 bodies inside – spokesman for the Russian Ministry. Emergency situations. 17 person died on the way to the hospital – the media write.
 



 TASS reported that the victims are immigrants from Kyrgyzstan, working and living in the warehouse. According to the quoted its representative organizations of the Kyrgyz diaspora in Moscow, the majority of victims are young women aged 20-25 years, as just such a person employed printing.
