Belarus cancels the obligation of visa requirements against citizens of over 80 countries staying for a period not exceeding 5 days. Among the countries exempt from visas all the countries of the EU, USA and Japan. On Monday, President Alexander Lukashenko signed the decree in this case.
the New rules will concern businessmen, tourists and individuals of ordinary passports. And will not apply to holders of diplomatic passports, official and special.
in addition, the terms of use of the visa-free regime should be a valid passport or other document granting the right to travel abroad, financial means (the equivalent of 20 euros or more for each day of stay) and is valid on the territory of Belarus medical insurance in the amount of 10 thousand euros.
the Citizens of Vietnam, Haiti, the Gambia, India, China, Lebanon, Namibia and Samoa will also need to have a valid, multiple-entry visa of one of the States of the European Union or the Schengen area with confirmation of the entry into its territory and airline tickets with date of departure from Minsk airport.
the visa-free regime does not apply to arriving in Minsk from Russia, as well as those who were going to fly to Russia. Such flights are considered domestic and not in their case, it is border controls.
Decision shall enter into force one month after publication.
