The terminal is one of the largest Polish energy investments in recent years, recognized by the Polish government as a strategic energy security of the country. The investment will enable reception of natural gas by sea from virtually any direction in the world. By accessing the global LNG market, Poland strengthen its security by diversifying supply of raw material.

The initial regasification capacity will be 5 billion cubic meters. per annum and will correspond to one-third of Polish demand for natural gas. Ongoing feasibility study for the expansion of terminal capacity by half – to 7.5 billion cubic meters. The creation of a new installation fertilizer granulation of the Group Azoty Tarnow

With the participation of Minister of the Treasury Andrzej Czerwinski took place on Wednesday the signing ceremony and laying the foundation act under a new installation of Mechanical Granulation Fertilizer Group II Azoty Tarnów. The value of the investment amounts to 140 million zł.

The expected completion date is the end of 2016. The new installation will allow the optimization of assortment of fertilizers, increasing the value produced ammonium sulphate, double the production capacity saletrosan and other granulated fertilizers mechanically. The investment will be financed from own funds and bank loans.

Construction Installation of Mechanical Granulation Fertilizer II is the next step in the development strategy of the Group Azoty SA, under which 68 investment projects are planned. This is the third big investment program in nearly ninety-year history of the company in Tarnów Mościcach.

In the next five years in the Azoty Tarnów Group intends to carry out investments worth more than 1 billion zł.
