Labour inspectors will check who and on what basis does the work, preparing for work for medical examinations and training in the field of health and safety. Will investigate whether working in commercial establishments foreigners are employed legally. Check how they are complied with rules on working time, payment of wages, health and safety regulations work.
Deputy Chief Labour inspector Zbigniew Rivka explains that the very idea of the controls is dictated by the emerging every year signals about violations of the ban on work. He emphasizes that the provision prohibiting work on the feast of the commercial establishments shall not prevent the opening of trading post that day. There is no legal impediment to the stores open on holidays work performed by their owners or other persons working under civil agreements. PIP also explains that working on the feast of inspectors will get a day off work.
No work on holidays valid since October 2007. and applies to all work carried out in retail outlets. Currently, the prohibition is covered by 13 days a year. For breaking the rules can be fined – from 1 thousand. to 2 thousand. zł – when the case is repeated, it is up to 5 thousand. zł. The inspector may also refer the matter to court – then the maximum fine of 30 thousand. zł.
