– I’m surprised approach JSW. Another worthwhile, they want to open new mines, and here it does not pay – says Adam Sojka, a resident of the municipality, a former employee Krupiński that 7 years is retired. Appalled information about the decision JSW is Suszca mayor, Marian Pawlas. – In our view, this decision is being premature – he says. – We submitted a letter to the supervisory board, where we bring your opposition to this decision. We request a re-analysis of the situation of the mine. We are also preparing a letter to the Prime Minister Beata Awl, asking them to look into the matter – he added.
Letter to the Prime Minister Szydło already sent trade unionists. Pay attention to it, that niewyeksploatowanie owned by the mine walls, may be evidence of mismanagement.
The problem of mines in Suszcu, a problem for the mine to be established in Orzesze. He wants to start a company Silesian Coal. – Establishment of a mine in Orzesze is at risk, because the infrastructure of the mine Krupiński was based the entire doctrine of the technical specifications for this project – says Jerzy Markowski, president of the Silesian Coal and former deputy minister of economy.
The news that the mine Krupiński will be transferred Company Restructuring mines shook Suszec municipality, on which territory is located. Recall that the resolution on this matter was taken by the board of JSW last week. Mine SRK would have to be moved to the end of January 2017 year.
Some local inhabitants still can not believe that the company could be liquidated. – I’m sure it will sell, but what about the people? Probably they will do for the buck – prophesying Andrew, a retired miner who worked in a coal mine Krupiński 32 years. He stresses that repeatedly talked about closing Krupiński. He recalls that in his time the mine closed … eight times.
– I’m waiting until January. If not, I am going abroad. Already slowly I am wrapping up work there – said, in turn, a young miner, coal mine worker Krupiński, which employs an external company.
The decision greatly angered the board Marian Pawlas, mayor Suszca. – We believe that this decision is premature. We did not expect this. Recently there have been to ensure that the mine is not closed – he says, noting that the company’s management took the decision without consulting with local authorities, and he was the closure of the mine learned from the media.
The municipality Suszec do not want to put up with closure of the mines and even try to influence the management of JSW. – We submitted a letter to the supervisory board, where we bring their opposition. We request a re-analysis of the situation of the mine. We are also preparing a letter to the Prime Minister Beata Awl with a request to look into the matter – lists Marian Pawlas.
Krupiński below the line
Jastrzębska Coal Company decided to transfer Krupiński to SRK explained by economic considerations and its permanent unprofitability. Despite the different scenarios, there are no chances that this could change in the future. – In the last ten years of financial losses Krupiński is about 900 million. Just this year, you will have to pay extra for it 200 million – says Katarzyna Jablonska-Bajer, a spokesman for JSW.
On the other hand, trade unionists from the mine Krupiński already sent (August 10) his letter to Prime Minister Beata Awl. They point in particular, that it niewyeksploatowanie owned by the mine walls is mismanagement.
– We conducted an analysis of the profitability of each wall. None of them compares, and therefore does not go even to zero. Continuing mining risk of generating losses. For example, the wall N-3 has already 5.9 million zł losses, and if we brought it to the end, the losses would rise to 19.5 million zł – says spokesman JSW. This ensures that none of the employees of the mine will not lose work – will be transferred to other plants.
The problem Krupiński is also coal, which is mined. It is mainly coal (also its pollution is approx. 65 per cent.) And JSW now wants to put on the breeze. Because its price is higher, and production costs comparable.
question why Krupiński still brings this second type of raw material, appeared already in mid-April. Then Krzysztof Gadowski of PO interpellation directed to Christopher Tchórzewski, energy minister, ws. Krupiński. In response sent to the Minister explained that these deposits of coking coal are located in the southern part of the mine, which mine withdrew due to complicated geological structure and difficult operating conditions. – Getting back to this area deposits requires not only investment estimated at 300 million zł, but also the time estimated to be around three years – explained the minister two months ago. I said then: The current board of JSW is not intended to and does not intend to transfer the mine to SRK, and he did not and does not take into account the sale of the company Silesian Coal or any other foreign entity. The final decision will depend on the results of economic analysis and directions of restructuring JSW.
Orzesze threatened
Problems mine Suszcu have a much greater range. These Silesian Coal, owned by German company HMS Bergbau AG, has plans to launch a mine in Orzesze. However, problems Krupiński put this investment into question. – Establishment of a mine in Orzesze is at risk, because the infrastructure of the mine Krupiński was based the entire doctrine of the technical project – says Jerzy Markowski, president of the Silesian Coal and former deputy minister of economy. In this way, launching a new mine would be more than half price – instead of approx. EUR 350 million (and so could cost to build the mine from scratch), it had to absorb approx. 150 million euros. Per year for the use of infrastructure Krupiński Silesian Coal wanted to pay 120 million zł.
Markowski clearly emphasizes that despite the impasse, the company has no plans to buy Krupiński. – Now we will present our offer to the new owner, that is, or SRK, or whoever will buy it – he adds. Although finding a buyer does not have to be so simple. – The world has gone the information that the mine Krupiński is permanently unprofitable. If the owner evaluates something as unprofitable, this means that there is no such thing for any chance. This is a clear message to investors – says Markowski.
