Azoty (almost) have the money to gazówkę – Puls Biznesu

That’s boom. Announced yesterday by a group of Azoty project to build a CCGT in Pulawy will be the eighth such an investment in the country. Funding already has – yesterday, Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego declared that it is ready to take even the entire investment worth over 1 billion zł.

There will be profitable

The idea the construction side in Pulawy was analyzed for three years, and ideas changing. Originally it supposed to be powered by coal, but finally selected gas; Energy was to be a partner of PGE, eventually becoming the BGK; power block has a reach of 800-900 MW, and now the draft says only about 400 MW.

The new power plant is expected to cost approx. 1.1 million zł and will be built in January 2019. For chemical plant in Pulawy, being part of a group Azoty, which is the largest chemical group in the country, it will be a huge change.

– Betting become self-sufficient when it comes to supply heat, and when it comes to electricity, it will be even surplus, which intend to sell to the system – says Zygmunt Kwiatkowski, president of the Power Pulawy.

With an assured outlet for heat and power, Azoty can be confident about the profitability of this investment, despite the fact that gas today would appear to be too high.

– The supply of blue fuel on the market will continue to grow, and this will translate into a fall in prices – says Zygmunt Kwiatkowski.

The power plant will soon begin talks with gas suppliers (“not only PGNiG” – declared president Zygmunt Kwiatkowski). The contract with them will be required to sign a loan agreement. This has in turn come 2015.

Azoty already declared that the lining at least 35 percent. the value of investments, and the rest of the BGK will try to co-opt commercial banks. If you take everything on yourself.

The notice Pulawy project comes at the moment of the boom in gas power plants, although none of them has not yet started . Closest to completion is a block of Tauron and PGNiG in Stalowa Wola (although partners argue with the contractor in terms of delays and additional costs) and block PKN Orlen in Wloclawek.
