Gazprom increased the amount of claims against the Ukrainian Naftohaz – Banker

              Russian company Gazprom on Tuesday increased by almost $ 2.6 billion sum, which demands from the Ukrainian Naftogaz before the arbitration court in Stockholm. Gazprom joined the amount of the bill for uncollected gas in the third quarter of 2015.
           

 
 
 

Thus, the sum of claims of Gazprom, covering mainly the debt for gas supplies in the years 2012-14, rose to 31.759 billion US dollars.


 

The exposure account for uncollected gas in the third quarter of 2015. Gazprom announced in January. “Ukraine in the third quarter of 2015 years actually refused to buy Russian gas, but there was no agreement on withdrawal of existing rules take or pay + + (take or pay)” – said the Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller.


 

According to the Russian company according to the contract Naftogaz should be in the July-September period last year to pick up at least 10.5 billion cubic meters of gas.
 

Gazprom announced that the first, second and fourth quarter of last year did not apply to the Ukrainian concern the principle of “take or pay” – said on Tuesday the Russian RBK portal.


 

In June 2014. Naftohaz filed in a court in Stockholm a lawsuit on determining the fair price of gas supplied by Russia in Ukraine. In response, Gazprom has filed a lawsuit against the Ukrainian concern, relating to debt for delivered raw material. The Stockholm court combined the two complaints in one case. It is anticipated that resolution of the dispute will take place in 2016. (PAP)
